Each year, SSP awards fellowships to students and professionals in the first four years of their careers in scholarly communications. This highly competitive program offers a range of career development, training, and networking opportunities, including:
- Pairing each fellow with an industry expert mentor
- Collaborating with other fellows to create a poster presentation for SSP’s Annual Meeting
- Joining an SSP committee and contributing to ongoing community initiatives
- Receiving complimentary SSP membership, registrations for selected SSP events, and travel assistance to attend the Annual Meeting
Through these experiences, fellows gain valuable insight into the scholarly publishing landscape while developing meaningful professional relationships across disciplines and continents. SSP is deeply committed to fostering a community that supports and benefits from the talents of scholarly publishers from myriad backgrounds. We believe that our community must center on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, and we strongly encourage people from traditionally marginalized groups to apply as Fellows.
