Announcing the Winners of the 2025 EPIC Awards

Winners of the inaugural EPIC Awards Celebration were announced May 29 at SSP’s Annual Meeting

We are proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Excellence in Publishing, Information Technology, & Communications (EPIC) Awards. Launching this year, the EPIC Awards highlight the remarkable achievements of individuals and teams who are advancing scholarly publishing through creativity, collaboration, and cutting-edge innovation.

Finalists were selected across five top-level categories, each with multiple subcategories to recognize the diverse ways organizations and individuals are pushing the boundaries of scholarly communication. Winners were revealed during the highly anticipated EPIC Awards Ceremony on May 29 in Baltimore as part of SSP’s 47th Annual Meeting. Without further ado, the winners are:

SSP would like to express our gratitude to everyone who submitted entries for the inaugural EPIC Awards. We received over 90 submissions, and the quality across all categories was impressive, showcasing the innovation and dedication within the scholarly publishing community. Although we could only recognize a limited number of finalists, each submission provided valuable insights into advancing scholarly communication. We encourage the community to submit entries for the 2026 EPIC Awards in late 2025.
