Atypon Integrates GetFTR Retraction and Errata Features into Publishing Platform

Atypon, a leading provider of research publication platforms, is excited to announce that three of its valued partners — Taylor & Francis, the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) — have integrated the GetFTR (Get Full Text Research) Retraction and Errata feature on their journal platforms (each hosted on the Atypon Experience Platform).

With this significant milestone, Atypon has become the first and only publishing platform partner to deliver the integration of this capability, setting the stage for broader adoption across the industry.

This innovative capability, built by GetFTR in close collaboration with Atypon, is now part of the Atypon Experience Platform and means researchers can quickly evaluate the integrity of scholarly work by identifying retractions, corrections, or updates directly within reference lists.

“Being able to see Retraction and Errata information, especially at the reference level, makes a real difference in helping researchers quickly assess the trustworthiness of what they’re reading.”

— Oliver Rickard, Atypon’s Senior Product Manager.

Atypon’s dedication to fostering integrity drove the collaboration with GetFTR to implement this feature for Taylor & Francis earlier this year. The success of that rollout set the stage for implementation with RSNA and SEG, marking a major deployment of GetFTR’s Retraction and Errata feature on the Atypon Experience Platform.

Atypon’s partnership with GetFTR demonstrates a commitment to empowering publishers with cutting-edge tools that support responsible research publishing. By integrating this feature into the Atypon Experience Platform, Atypon’s partners remain at the forefront of scientific integrity initiatives.

As Dianne Benham, Product Director for GetFTR, remarked in their press release, “This implementation underscores the shared commitment to transparency, trust, and the ongoing evolution of responsible research publishing…. Thanks to Atypon’s collaboration, this important development is now available to all their publishing clients.”
