The Beilstein-Institut is proud to announce a partnership with Grounded AI, whose Veracity tool will provide our editorial office staff with state-of-the-art tooling to assist in checking the accuracy and relevance of every citation in our publications. Beilstein will use Veracity to highlight metadata mismatches, citations that lack resolution or appear irrelevant, as well as challenges with self-citation. Veracity will assist the work of Beilstein’s human editors in verifying the existence, relevance, and accuracy of every citation, saving them time and ensuring scientific integrity.
GroundedAI is committed to ensuring that scientific publications are accurate, honest, and free from bias. Their product, Veracity, is used by eleven academic publishers and software vendors to verify scientific papers at the point of submission. Veracity checks every citation for accuracy, honesty, and relevance. It identifies errors that result from the fraudulent or careless use of AI.
Quote from Wendy Patterson, Scientific Director, Beilstein-Institut: “Veracity transforms how we ensure citation accuracy, and it provides our editors with a powerful, semi-automated layer of quality control. It allows our editorial office team to focus less on manual cross-checking and more on the scientific merit of the research. This partnership reinforces our commitment to transparency and integrity in scientific publishing.”
Quote from Joe Shockman, CEO, Grounded AI: “We’re thrilled to be working with the Beilstein-Institut to help ensure the integrity of the scientific record by ensuring that every citation they publish is checked prior to publication.”
