In recent years, libraries have faced rapid and profound changes in technology, access models, and funder guidelines. Policies and standards are often focused on desired outcomes, which require us to come together across sectors in this industry to address challenges and seize new opportunities?
Join the SSP Scholarly Kitchen Chefs for a discussion on how libraries can understand and address policy decisions. Panelists will consider topics, including:
- What role does—or should—policy play in facilitating changes in research infrastructure and open research workflows? What tools and guidelines are needed to comply with these changes?
- How are libraries responding to the Nelson Memo? What infrastructure is being put in place to prepare?
- Upcoming changes to making content accessible to users. Can we maintain seamless access when we are at the mercy of big tech policies? How can we comply with impending changes to US and European accessibility mandates?
