Latest “Pulse Check” Poll focuses on Shaping Our Collective Voice Through Advocacy

We are excited to announce the third Pulse Check poll to gather timely, actionable insights from across the scholarly communications community.

Scholarly communications faces a complex landscape as policy, technology, and public expectations reshape how research is created, communicated, and trusted. The Shaping Our Collective Voice Through Advocacy Pulse Check poll is intended to better understand how organizations across the scholarly communications ecosystem view advocacy, shared industry priorities, and the challenges involved in engaging with policymakers and the public.

Your responses will help identify areas where collective action, shared messaging, and practical resources may strengthen the community’s ability to communicate the value and impact of scholarly publishing.

Each Pulse Check poll consists of 5–6 focused questions, along with optional demographic information to enable richer segmentation and trend analysis.

A summary of each Pulse Check’s key takeaways will be published in The Scholarly Kitchen, with an expanded report available on the SSP website.

We’d love to hear your ideas for future Pulse Check topics! Please share your thoughts at the end of the survey.
