Participants will gain important insights to help make informed decisions about competitive salaries and benefits, which are essential for attracting and keeping top talent. The study will identify gaps in existing packages and support suggestions for salary adjustments and benefits improvements with evidence.

This study is a valuable resource for anyone in the scholarly publishing community. The more people participate, the more accurate and informative the results will be. We encourage individuals to complete the survey that applies to them and share the organizational survey information with the right person at their workplace. By sharing your data, you’ll help create fair, research-based compensation standards that benefit the whole industry.

Retaking the survey during each data collection period gives you access to the latest dataset, providing up-to-date insights into your professional environment. Respondents who completed the previous cycle will be able to import their data for updates.

How to Participate

If your organization would like to participate in the study, you first need to designate an authorized user for your organization. Typically, the best person to complete the survey is someone with sufficient access to benefits and compensation data across the organization. The authorized user for your organization should complete the request form by clicking the Get Started button below.

As a participant in the study, your organization will receive an executive summary of the aggregate data submitted by other organizations at no charge if you complete all required questions and a minimum of 60% of the survey.

The data collection period is currently closed. Reports for 2024 data are available now. Data collection for organizations in 2025 was insufficient to release updated reporting.

Organization Study + Individual Study Results

Explore the results using dynamic comparison reports with extra filters, including region at the country and state levels, number of employees, organization type, and operating revenue for organization-level data. You can also filter by level, area, focus, and scope at the position level. Additionally, buyers of the Enterprise Access Subscription will receive a Premium Access Subscription to the Individual Study results, enabling authorized users to filter individual data by level, area, focus, scope, region at the country and state levels, number of employees, organization type, years of experience, and headquarters region at the country and state levels. Reports are generated dynamically, so as more organizations and individuals complete the survey, more comparison data becomes available. This option allows multiple authorized users. Access is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

If you’re mainly interested in organizational data, including dynamic comparison reports with extra filters, we offer an Industry Access Subscription. Filters cover region at the country and state levels, number of employees, organization type, and operating revenue for organization-level data. You can also filter by level, area, focus, and scope at the position level. Reports are generated dynamically, so more comparison data will become available as additional organizations complete the survey. This option supports multiple authorized users. Access remains valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
