We are excited to launch our new Leadership Academy, a unique opportunity for professionals in the scholarly publishing field to strengthen their leadership potential. The program offers five dynamic sessions that combine expert-led panel discussions, group breakout sessions, and reflective exercises.
Designed by the Career Development and Training Committees, the Leadership Academy empowers participants with essential leadership skills, preparing them to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the modern publishing landscape. Each 90-minute monthly session addresses contemporary leadership needs and equips participants with practical strategies for real-world application.

- Session 1: Strategic Influence: Mastering Persuasion for Effective Leadership
- Session 2: Synergy in Action: Elevating Leadership through Dynamic Teamwork and Collaboration
- Session 3: Adaptive Leadership: Navigating Change with Agility, Resilience, and Emotional Intelligence
- Session 4: Virtual Leadership: Collaborating with Remote Teams with Insight and Innovation
- Session 5: Speaking with Impact: Public Speaking Essentials for Emerging Leaders
Through these engaging sessions, participants will have the chance to gain insights from industry experts and engage in peer-to-peer discussions to address the challenges faced by emerging leaders in the rapidly evolving scholarly publishing environment. By the end of the Academy, attendees will walk away with a comprehensive toolkit of leadership skills needed to advance their careers and take on expanded roles in scholarly publishing.
The Leadership Academy participants will have opportunities for Q&A and networking with fellow attendees. Each participant will also receive free access to the CliftonStrengths Top 5 Assessment, helping them better understand their strengths and apply this knowledge to their leadership journey.
